On Monday 30th November we held the final WUC Landscape Talk for 2020.
We were very pleased to introduce Dr Jill Raggett, Emeritus Reader in Gardens and Designed Landscapes. Jill is also Adjunct Professor at University of Dalhousie, Canada and Unit Leader & Assessor on the Royal Horticultural Society Master of Horticulture.
Jill gave us a talk about the New York Highline, which she visited in 2018. Her visit was made possible via the Essex Gardens Trust Travel Bursary.
We were taken along the Highline from end to end, and from its inception to the successful attraction it is today, while also covering it's context within the neighbourhoods it passes through and its historic connections.
