MA Design Studio: Destination >> Sandford Mill

The Past, Present and Future of Chelmsford City Development.

Back in December our postgraduate Landscape Architecture and Garden Design students were invited to present to a panel of industry professionals and stakeholders from Chelmsford City Council.

Over the day each student presented their design ideas for the redevelopment of the Sandford Mill site, each sharing their own unique vision of what the site could be.

We would like to thank the council for their involvement in this project, and for their continued support of Landscape Architecture and Garden Design at Writtle University College.

Design Vision Award

At the end of last semester, our 3rd year Landscape Architecture and Garden Design students took part in the Design Vision Award competition.

The students anonymously shared their design dissertation projects, and the work was then reviewed by the staff team, while the student body attached digital post-it notes with positive feedback.

Normally this activity would take place in the design studio, so we recreated the experience as best we could virtually, using an interactive Mural whiteboard.

Congratulations to winner Grace Allman and runner-up Harvey Nunn Griffin.
